Nature of possession; right to possess

Art. 3422. Nature of possession; right to possess Possession is a matter of fact; nevertheless, one who has possessed a thing for over a year acquires the right to possess it. Acts 1982, No. 187, §1, eff. Jan. 1, 1983.
