Addition of all laboratory results for SARS-CoV-2 from any test methodology on list of Reportable Diseases and Conditions as Class 1A diseases, requiring reporting to MSDH within 24 hours of all test results through updated reporting processes. Discontinue allowing faxes and CSV spreadsheets as acceptable ways to submit SARS-CoV-2 reports to MSDH.

Pursuant to House Bill 1782, the Healthcare Providers Act, MSDH hereby creates the “Healthcare CARES Act Reimbursement Program,” which is designed to reimburse healthcare related entities for expenses incurred while addressing the continuation of the COVID-19 public health emergency and treating patients with COVID-19.

Pursuant to House Bill 1813, the Licensed Specialty Hospital Reimbursement Act, MSDH hereby creates the “Licensed Specialty Hospital Reimbursement Program,” which is designed to reimburse Mississippi licensed specialty hospitals recognized as such by the Mississippi State Department of Health, excluding any specialty hospital owned by the State of Mississippi, for their necessary expenditures incurred due to the COVID-19 public health emergency.

Pursuant to the Mississippi ICU Infrastructure Act, MSDH hereby creates the “ICU Infrastructure Program,” which is designed to provide funds to hospitals to increase treatment capacity related to the COVID-19 pandemic, including adding intensive care units, isolation rooms or negative pressure rooms, and related construction and facilitation costs, but not to include any administrative expenses or costs or any staffing expenses or costs.

Pursuant to the special called meeting of the Mississippi Board of Nursing Board of Directors on April 29th, 2020 , the Board voted to continue to fulfill its legislative mandate to protect the public and conduct informal and formal disciplinary proceedings virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Board adopts the temporary rule herein, pursuant to authority granted in Miss. Code Ann. § 25-43-3.108 (1972, as amended) and Miss. Exec. Order 1471 (Apr. 10, 2020), in an effort to ensure public safety and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
