Due to changes to the ASTM Specification D4814, additions have been made to MDAC’s regulations to remain consistent with specifications for anti-knock index

Section 41-59-5 (3), Mississippi Code of 1972, as amended, establishes the Mississippi State Department of Health is the lead agency shall establish and maintain a program for the improvement and regulation of emergency medical services. The Board is authorized to promulgate and enforce such rules, regulations and minimum standards as needed to carry out these provisions. The proposed changes reflect the National Scope of Practice for EMS providers. This will include updated language consistent with CMS

This rule is amended to reflect the internal policy changes regarding changes to the violations and fees table found in Chapter 28. Additionally, the amendments, to reflect changes to the code from SB 2857, set certain application procedures and provide the requisite considerations for who may be considered an agent and officer of a medical cannabis establishment. The changes also delete the weekly limit on the allowable amount of medical cannabis that a resident cardholder may obtain. Also, to align with HB 1158 (2023) the amendment includes language regarding the sale of “topical cannabis products,” and various administrative appeals and procedure changes
