(a) For purposes of this article, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed in this section unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:(a) “State board” or “board” means the Mississippi State Workforce Investment Board.(b) “District councils” means the Local Workforce Development Councils.(c) “Local workforce investment board” means the board that oversees the workforce development activities of local workforce areas under the federal Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act.(d) “Office” means the Mississippi Office of Workforce Development, housed at the Department of Employment Security.
