(a) As used in this chapter, the following terms shall be defined as provided in this section:(a) “Certified community health worker” means an individual who has been certified as a community health worker by the department in accordance with this chapter;(b) “Core competencies” means the knowledge and skills that certified community health workers are expected to demonstrate to carry out the profession’s mission and goals as defined by the department in rules; and(c) “Department” means the State Department of Health;
