(a) The following words and phrases when used in Sections 49-2-81 through 49-2-87 shall have the meanings given to them in this section unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:(a) “Department” means the Department of Environmental Quality.(b) “Home-generated medical sharp” means a sharp used by an individual at home.(c) “Medical sharp” means a needle, syringe, lancet or other sharp object used to penetrate the skin for medical testing or for delivery of medication.
