(1) In addition to other duties and responsibilities set out in this chapter, the PEER Committee is authorized to establish a program of reviewing selected newly adopted state agency administrative rules. Such reviews shall produce a report to the Legislature on newly adopted state agency administrative rules. Such reports shall also contain a recommendation for legislative action in cases where the committee believes that such is appropriate.
(2) From and after July 1, 2026, the committee may choose to select fifteen (15) rules adopted during the previous fiscal year for review. Reports on those rules shall be made to the Legislature no later than December 15, 2026. Thereafter, the committee may review up to thirty (30) newly adopted rules per year, with reports on those rules being made to the Legislature no later than December 15 of each year.
