Neither the directors of the authority, the board, its employees, nor any person or persons acting on their behalf, while acting within the scope of their authority, shall be subject to personal liability resulting from carrying out any of the powers granted herein in accordance with his or her good faith belief that he or she is acting in the best interests of the authority.
