(1) An applicant for a direct wine shipper’s permit shall:(a) Submit to the department a completed application on a form provided by the department, containing all information that is required by the department;(b) Provide to the department a copy of the applicant’s current license or permit to engage in the activity of manufacturing wine issued in this or any other state; and(c) Pay to the department the tax prescribed in Section 27-71-5.

(2) After a person complies with the provisions of subsection (1) of this section, the department may conduct any investigation as it considers necessary regarding the issuance of a direct wine shipper’s permit, and the department shall issue such permit to the applicant if the requirements of this article are met.
