(1) Licensure or the privilege to practice shall be granted either in speech-language pathology or audiology independently. A person may be licensed or hold the privilege to practice in both areas if he or she meets the respective qualifications.
(2) No person shall practice or represent himself or herself as a speech-language pathologist or audiologist in this state unless he or she is licensed in accordance with the provisions of this article or holds the privilege to practice.
