Abolishment of county; approval of voters in county

[Sec. 36.] The legislature shall not abolish any county unless the qualified voters of the county affected shall at a general or special election first approve such proposed abolishment by a majority of all the voters voting at such election. The legislature shall provide by law the method of initiating and conducting such election. [Added in 1940.
