NRS 127C.820 Requirements before placement of child in adoptive home or in care of prospective adoptive parents. A child must not be placed in an adoptive home or in the care of prospective adoptive parents until: 1. An approved home study investigation pursuant to NRS 127C.840 is obtained; and 2. A valid specific consent to adoption or relinquishment is executed by a parent of the child or a court order is obtained terminating the parental rights of the parents.
