NRS 266.330 Public health. The city council may: 1. Provide for safeguarding public health in the city. 2. Create a board of health and prescribe the powers and duties of such board. 3. Provide for the enforcement of all regulations and quarantines established by the board of health by imposing adequate penalties for violations thereof.
