NRS 396.5196 Regents authorized to require each institution offering program to satisfy educational requirements for teaching license to collaborate with certain entities to develop course in foundational literacy skills. The Board of Regents may require each institution within the System that offers a program of study to satisfy the educational requirements for a license to teach elementary school to collaborate with the Department and the Commission on Professional Standards in Education to develop within the program of study a course of instruction in foundational literacy skills that satisfies the requirements adopted pursuant to paragraph (d) of subsection 1 of NRS 391.019 to qualify to teach kindergarten and grades 1, 2 and 3.
