In this chapter: I. "Applicant" means a person who has submitted to the executive director an application for a license pursuant to this chapter. II. "Board" means the advisory board of reflexology, structural integration, and Asian bodywork therapy. [Paragraph III effective until July 1, 2027; see also paragraph III set out below.] III. [Repealed.] [Paragraph III effective July 1, 2027; see also paragraph III set out above.] III. "Bodywork establishment" means a commercial location where reflexology, structural integration, and/or Asian bodywork therapy is advertised, and where it is practiced by more than one person. "Bodywork establishment" does not include locations where bodywork is offered as an adjunct to medical care in a location or facility operated by licensed healthcare professionals operating within their scope of practice, temporary and incidental bodywork offered in the open in public accommodations, or other exceptions as permitted by rules. IV. [Repealed.] IV-a. "Executive director" means the executive director of the office of professional licensure and certification established under RSA 310. V. "Licensee" means a person to whom a license has been issued pursuant to this chapter. VI. "Practice" means the application of a system of structured touch therapies which includes reflexology, structural integration, or Asian bodywork therapy. VII. "Practitioner" means a person who practices touch therapies for compensation and holds a current certification from an entity approved by the executive director as a reflexologist, structural integrator, or Asian bodywork therapist. [Paragraph VIII effective July 1, 2027.] VIII. "Sole proprietor" means any person who owns a business by himself or herself and does not have any employees within his or her business.
