27:27-3. Functions, powers, duties
Except as otherwise provided by law, the Commissioner of Transportation shall have the following functions, powers and duties: a. Approve or reject any proposed monorail project, including its route; b. Set fares for monorail systems; and c. Establish safety standards for the operation of monorail systems.
