30:4D-17.11. Definitions
As used in this act: a. "Commissioner" means the Commissioner of the Department of Human Services. b. "Division" means the Division of Medical Assistance and Health Services in the Department of Human Services. c. "Preadmission screening" means: (1) an initial evaluation to determine eligibility for the preadmission screening program; (2) preparation of an assessment of the individual's need for care in a skilled nursing or intermediate care facility and of the individual's formal and informal support systems; and (3) preparation of an initial care plan and arrangement of, or referral to, needed services.
