40A:14-142. Municipal prison keepers
In any municipality having a municipal prison the governing body, by ordinance, may provide for the appointment of a prison keeper and upon such appointment he shall become a member of the police department or force of said municipality. L.1971, c. 197, s. 1, eff. July 1, 1971.
