"Carrying a deadly weapon"

"Carrying a deadly weapon" means being armed with a deadly weapon by having it on the person, or in close proximity thereto, so that the weapon is readily accessible for use. History: 1953 Comp., § 40A-7-1, enacted by Laws 1963, ch. 303, § 7-1.
