Licensure requirements; hairstylists. (Repealed

Except as provided in Subsection B of this section, a hairstylist license shall be issued to a person who files a completed application, accompanied by the required fees and documentation, and who: (1) is at least seventeen years of age; (2) has completed a course in hairstyling of at least one thousand two hundred hours in a school approved by the board; and (3) has passed an examination approved by the board. B. A hairstylist license shall be issued to a person who files a completed application, accompanied by the required fees and documentation, and meets the requirements of Paragraphs (1) through (3) of Subsection A of this section. C. The holder of a hairstylist license has the right and privilege to use the title "hairstylist". History: Laws 2017, ch. 112, § 2; 2022, ch. 39, § 72.
