Subject to rules promulgated by the board, a nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist may supervise a psychologist in the prescribing of psychotropic medication pursuant to the Professional Psychologist Act [Chapter 61, Article 9 NMSA 1978]. B. No later than January 1, 2020, the board shall promulgate regulations for a nurse practitioner or clinical nurse specialist who supervises a psychologist in the prescribing of psychotropic medication pursuant to the Professional Psychologist Act.
