Penalties. (a) It shall be the duty of each owner of buildings affected by this article, except those owners exempted in subsection (b) of this section, to affix to such buildings in the manner prescribed by the rules and regulations of the resident director of Public Works, the street address number assigned by virtue of this article. Violation of this section shall constitute a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine not to exceed $100. (b) Such assigned numbers need not be affixed to the premises used exclusively for religious purpose for which numbers have been assigned under the provisions of this article.
