DIVISION 10: COMMONWEALTH ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
§ 10201. Charter of the Authority. (a) There is created as an autonomous public agency of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, a body corporate to be known as the Commonwealth Economic Development Authority to serve those functions provided for in N.M.I. Const. art. XI, § 6(c) and such other purposes as this division establishes. (b) The existence of the authority shall be perpetual. (c) The authority shall maintain its principal office in Saipan, and may establish such other offices or branches elsewhere as the board deems necessary. (d) Subject to the provisions of this division, the authority shall have all the rights and privileges of a corporation. Source: PL 4-49, § 5; PL 22-1, § 3 (June 7, 2021).
