TITLE 6: CRIMES AND CRIMINAL PROCEDURE

DIVISION 10: SPECIAL ACT FOR FIREARMS ENFORCEMENT (SAFE) § 10509. Transition – Regulations. (a) The Department of Public Safety is authorized to issue regulations to administer the Second Special Act for Firearms Enforcement. (b) The Department of Public Safety may authorize, by regulation, additional fees to administer the Second Special Act for Firearms Enforcement. Provided, any additional fees will be instituted to offset the cost of administering the Second Special Act for Firearms Enforcement. (c) Any fees or fines collected pursuant to the Second Special Act for Firearms Enforcement shall be forwarded to the Department of Public Safety to offset the cost of administering the Second Special Act for Firearms Enforcement, training law enforcement officers, and equipping officers to safely handle armed citizens that violate the law. The funds may be spent at the discretion of the Commissioner of the Department of Public Safety. Source: PL 19-73 § 9 (Dec. 1, 2016), modified.
