§ 1121. Short Title. This article may be cited as the Rota Dog Control Act. Source: Rota LL 7-3, § 1. Commission Comment: Rota LL 7-3 took effect May 7, 1991. According to Rota LL 7-3, § 2: Section 2. Purpose. The Legislators of the First Senatorial District for the island of Rota find that a serious problem exists on the island of Rota, whereby domesticated and wild dogs are wandering around on public land and private property[,] posing a threat to the health and safety of visitors and residents of Rota[,] and[,] further, said dogs have been killing other domesticated animals and other wildlife on the island of Rota. According to Rota LL 7-3, § 7, “[a]ny Rota Municipal Ordinance that is inconsistent with the provisions of this Act is hereby repealed.”
