Contiguous Zone

Contiguous Zone. There is hereby established a zone within the exclusive economic zone, contiguous to the territorial sea, which shall be known as the contiguous zone. The inner limit of the contiguous zone shall be the outer limit of the territorial sea. The outer limit of the contiguous zone is the line every point of which is at a distance of 24 miles from the nearest point of the baselines. Source: PL 2-7, § 14.
