§ 1136. Relationship with the United States. The legislature recognizes the special relationship between the Commonwealth and the United States. Pursuant to that relationship, nothing in this chapter shall be taken to impose any impediment to any lawful action taken by the government of the United States for the defense and security of the Commonwealth or of the United States; provided, that the United States takes every practicable precaution to protect the marine environment and complies with any applicable federal law.
