TITLE 3: HUMAN RESOURCES DIVISION 1: EDUCATION

§ 12103. Definitions. As used in this Chapter unless otherwise indicated: (a) “Career and Technical Training” means organized comprehensive training programs that offer career-oriented courses, and trades training and provide students with work experience and certification opportunities through internships, job shadowing, and on-the-job training, all with the aim of industry certification through the Northern Marianas Technical Institute. (b) “Northern Marianas Technical Institute” means a comprehensive training institution which provides career, trades and technical training programs that specialize in the skilled trades, applied sciences, modern technologies, and career preparation, all aimed at industry certification, fulfillment of a program requirement towards applicable credential or certificate.* (c) “Board” means the Board of Trustees of the Northern Marianas Technical Institute. (d) “CEO” means the chief executive officer or administrative head of the Northern Marianas Technical Institute. (e) “Cross Enrollment” means horizontally and vertically articulated simultaneous enrollment in more than one training institution with the approval of the respective administrators and institutions.
