3 CMC § 12117

Advisory Committee. (a) In order to provide program alignment and to avoid program duplication there shall be four non-voting advisors who shall advise the Board of Trustees in their area of expertise and matters pertaining to the advisor’s respective programs, such as the Commonwealth’s workforce needs and demands. These non-voting advisors shall be the Secretary of the Department of Labor, the Secretary of the Department of Commerce, the Chairperson of the CNMI Board of Education, and the Chairperson of the Northern Marianas College Board of Regents. (b) The Board may establish advisory committees for each of the career programs or levels of instruction and appoint advisory committee members from among people in the community who can best advise the Board in their area of expertise or on matters pertaining to the Board’s responsibilities as established by law.
