Source: RLL 18-8 § 1 (Nov. 22, 2013) Commission Comment: RLL 18-8 (Nov. 22, 2013) contained, in addition to savings and severability clauses, the following: Section 2. Findings and Purpose. The First Senatorial District Delegation finds that the current Rota Resident card issued by the Office of the Mayor does not have a picture of the person identified on the card. The Delegation also finds that the card is sometimes used for travel purposes in lieu of a copy of a birth certificate. Additionally, some local banks, stores, and other business establishments require proper identification to cash personal, government, company, and other checks. The purpose of this Act is to require a picture on the resident identification cards issued by the Office of the Mayor of Rota. In addition, this Act is to provide for the payment of a fee and expiration of the card.
