§ 1614. Expenditure Authority. The Director of the Legislative Bureau shall be the expenditure authority of the funds appropriated to the Youth Congress in consultation with the Speaker of the Youth Congress. Commission Comment: According to PL 8-27, § 18: “There is hereby authorized to be appropriated from the Northern Marianas General Fund the sum of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) to fund the operations and activities of the Youth Congress.” With respect to the reference to the “Director of Finance,” see Executive Order 94-3 (effective August 23, 1994), reorganizing the executive branch, changing agency names and official titles, and effecting other changes, set forth in the Commission comment to 1 CMC § 2001.
