Eligible Petitioners for Order. (a) A person who is or who has been a victim of domestic or family violence may file a petition for an order in the Superior Court for protection against a family or household member who commits an act of domestic or family violence. (b) A parent, guardian, or other representative may file a petition for an order in the Superior Court for protection on behalf of a child against a family or household member who commits an act of domestic or family violence.
