Immunity from Liability for Guardian Ad Litem. A person who is appointed to serve as guardian ad litem is not liable for any civil damages for any personal injury or property damages as a result of any act or omission by the guardian ad litem in the discharge of his or her responsibilities as guardian ad litem, if the person acts in good faith and is not guilty of gross negligence.
