Article 1. Uniform Address and Street Naming.
§ 20301. Short Title. This Article shall be known as the “Tinian Uniform Address and Street Naming Act of 2007.” Source: Tinian LL 15-11, § 2 (2901), modified. Commission Comment: Tinian LL 15-11 became law on August 31, 2007, and contained the following title, in addition to severability and savings provisions. The Commission changed the reference to “Chapter” in the above section to “Article” pursuant to its authority by 1 CMC § 3806. The Commission notes that Tinian LL 15-11 appears to attempt to create regulations within the statute (e.g., 10 CMC §§ 20306, 20307, and 20311); the Legislature creates bills that, if enacted, become statutes and duly authorized government agencies/departments promulgate regulations. Section 1. Title. This Act may be cited as the “Tinian Uniform Address and Street Naming Act of 2007.”
