§ 20308. Private Roads. (a) Applications for private road names shall be submitted by landowners with residence or property on the private road to the Committee. After reviewing the road name submitted with the standards in this Article, the Committee shall make a recommendation to the Mayor. When approved by the Mayor the name shall be listed on the Officia1 Street and Private Road Name List. (b) The Municipality shall not install private road name signs. The applicant shall obtain street name sign materials and shall be responsible for installation. The sign material shall meet the requirements of Section 20314(c) of this Article. (c) All private road signs shall be on a blue background with a white legend and be in compliance with M.U.T.C.D. Source: Tinian LL 15-11, § 2 (2908), modified. Commission Comment: The Commission changed the reference to “Section 2914(c)” in subsection (b) above to “Section 20314(c)” to agree with renumbered sections, and changed the reference to “Chapter” in the above section to “Article” pursuant to its authority by 1 CMC § 3806.
