§ 2091. Liaison Offices: Hawaii and Guam. There are within the office of the Governor offices to be known as the “Marianas Hawaii Office,” to be located in Honolulu, Hawaii, and the “Marianas Guam Office,” to be located in the Territory of Guam. Each office shall be headed by a liaison officer in accordance with the provisions of this article. The liaison officers shall be appointed by the Governor and shall be under the direct supervision and control of the Governor. Source: PL 3-92, § 4. Commission Comment: PL 3-92, which took effect January 7, 1984, transferred the Hawaii and Guam liaison offices from the office of the Representative to the United States to the office of the Governor. PL 3-92, § 9 repealed PL 1-38 (concerning the Hawaii office) and vacated Executive Order 19 (concerning the Guam office).
