§ 2194. Dissemination of Information. The Secretary of Public Health authority shall inform the people of the CNMI when a state of public health emergency has been declared or terminated, how to protect themselves during a state of public health emergency, and what actions are being taken to control the emergency. (a) Means of dissemination. The Secretary of Public Health shall provide information by all available and reasonable means calculated to bring the information promptly to the attention of the general public. (b) Languages. If the public health authority has reason to believe there are large numbers of people in the CNMI who lack sufficient skills in English, the Secretary of Public Health shall make reasonable efforts to provide the information in the primary languages of those people as well as in English. (c) Accessibility. The provision of information shall be made in manner accessible to individuals with disabilities. Source: PL 13-63, § 16, modified.
