§ 2269. Rules and Regulations. The Commissioner shall promulgate necessary rules and regulations to carry out the intent of 1 CMC §§ 2261(e), 2262(c), and 2263(b), including but not limited to candidate identification and selection for the general election, ballot tabulation, and protest and grievance procedures. The rules and regulations shall be promulgated and adopted within 60 days after 1 CMC §§ 2261(e), 2262(c), and 2263(b) become law. Source: PL 19-07 § 4 (Sept. 23, 2015), modified. Commission Comment: The Commission modified the phrases “this legislation” and “this Act” to read “1 CMC §§ 2261(e), 2262(c), and 2263(b)” pursuant to 1 CMC § 3806(d). The Commission modified the word “becomes” to “become” pursuant to 1 CMC § 3806(g). The Commission rearranged the sections of PL 19-07 to fit harmoniously within the code pursuant to 1 CMC § 3806(b), and accordingly renumbered the sections pursuant to 1 CMC § 3806(a): PL 19-07 Section 4 was codified at 1 CMC § 2269 as a new section.
