§ 2272. Commissioner of Education: Qualifications. The commissioner shall serve at the pleasure of the board and shall be appointed by the Board of Education for a term of four years and may be removed by a majority vote of the members of the board. No person shall be appointed as Commissioner of Education unless the person has: (a) At least a master’s degree in some field of education; and (b) Five years experience in teaching or education administration.
