§ 2412. Cockfighting Board Formed; Term; Compensation; Removal Qualifications. (a) There is established for the Second Senatorial District a Cockfighting Board (“Board”). The board shall be composed of three members appointed by the Mayor of Tinian and Aguiguan with the advice and consent of the Tinian Municipal Council. (b) Board members shall serve a term of one year. (c) Board members shall serve without pay, but may be reimbursed for reasonable and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of their duties pursuant to 1 CMC § 8247. (d) Any board member may be removed by the mayor on the grounds of gross neglect of duty, conviction of a felony, or mental or physical incapacity. (e) In addition to other qualifications required by law (1 CMC § 2901), board members shall be registered voters of the Second Senatorial District and shall not be holders of a cockfighting franchise license or a referee established by this chapter.
