Department of Public Safety: Rules and Regulations. (a) The Department of Public Safety shall adopt rules and regulations regarding activities over which the department has jurisdiction. (b) The Department of Public Safety, in consultation with the Department of Finance, shall promulgate regulations for the implementation of its responsibilities under 1 CMC § 2504(k). Commission Comment: With respect to the reference to the “Department of Public Safety,” see Executive Order 94-3 (effective August 23, 1994), reorganizing the executive branch, changing agency names and official titles, and effecting other changes, set forth in the Commission comment to 1 CMC § 2001; see also the comment to 1 CMC § 2501. In subsection (b), the Commission changed “Section 3(a) of this Act” to “1 CMC § 2504(k)” pursuant to the authority granted by 1 CMC § 3806(c).
