§ 25172. Officers of the Commission Not to Gamble, etc. (a) A member or an officer of the Commission: (1) shall not gamble in a casino save to the extent that it may be necessary for him to do so in the course of his duties as an officer; (2) shall not knowingly have, directly or indirectly: (i) any business or financial association with; or (ii) any business or financial interest in any matter in conjunction with a licensee under this chapter; (3) shall not be an employee in any capacity of a licensee under this chapter; and (4) shall not solicit or accept employment from or be an employee or business or financial associate in any capacity of a licensee under this chapter within a period of 1 year after he ceases to be an officer of the Commission. (b) A licensee under this chapter: (1) shall not employ in any capacity or have as an employee a person who is an officer of the Commission, or any member of that officer’s immediate family as a casino key employee; and (2) shall not employ in any capacity or have as an employee or business or financial associate a person who was an officer of the Commission with a period of 1 year after that person ceased to be an officer of the Commission. (c) An officer of the Commission who knowingly has, directly or indirectly: (1) any business or financial association with; or (2) any business or financial interest in any matter in conjunction with a person who becomes an applicant for a license under this chapter shall, immediately upon becoming aware that such person has become an applicant: (i) notify the Commission of such association or interest; and (ii) if directed by the Commission, terminate the association or relinquish the interest within a time specified by the Commission. (d) The expression “licensee under this chapter” occurring in this section includes a lessee under a casino lease and a casino operator under a casino management agreement.
