§ 2550. Penalty for Disclosure. Disclosure of protected information in violation of this section shall be punished by imprisonment for not less than one year but not more than two years or by a fine of not more than $500, or both. The Attorney General shall, to the extent possible, quash any subpoenas or other discovery efforts to obtain any protected information as defined in 1 CMC § 2547 and shall to the extent authorized by law take whatever action is necessary to assure its nondisclosure.
