§ 2607. Revolving Imprest Fund Account: Establishment. Notwithstanding 1 CMC § 7401, there is hereby established a revolving imprest fund account not to exceed $2,000,000 annually within the Department of Public Health. The revolving imprest fund account shall be for the sole purpose of purchasing medical supplies and equipment. There is within the Department of Finance a revolving imprest fund account separate from the Department of Public Health’s operating fund account. The Secretary of Public Health shall be the expenditure authority for all disbursements associated with the imprest fund account. These funds shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal year. Title. This Act may be cited as the Commonwealth Health Center Revolving Imprest Fund Act. Section 2. Findings. The Legislature finds the need for the Commonwealth Health Center to purchase life sustaining pharmaceutical supplies and equipment in a reliable manner consistent with standards of practice established by health care institutions with similar patient care objectives.
