§ 2632. Office of Medical Examiner: Medical Examiner: Appointment. The medical examiner shall be appointed by the Director of Public Health and Environmental Services. The appointment may be on a full-time or part-time basis. No person may be appointed as medical examiner unless the person is a: (a) Certified pathologist who has experience in forensic medicine; or (b) Physician who has an equivalent education background and experience in the field of pathology.
