§ 2641. Medical Profession Licensing Board. [Repealed]. Source: PL 3-30, § 4, modified; repealed by PL 15-105, § 3. Commission Comment: PL 3-30, the “Medical Practice Act of 1982,” took effect November 30, 1982. See also 3 CMC § 2201 et seq. With respect to the reference to the “Department of Public Health and Environmental Services,” see Executive Order 94-3 (effective August 23, 1994), reorganizing the executive branch, changing agency names and official titles, and effecting other changes, set forth in the Commission comment to 1 CMC § 2001; see also the comment to 1 CMC § 2601. PL 15-105 (“Health Care Professions Licensing Act of 2007,” codified at 3 CMC §§ 2201-2236) was enacted into law on November 7, 2007. PL 15-105 contained the following short title and purpose in addition to other amendments and severability and savings provisions: Section 1. Short Title. This Act may be cited as the "Health Care Professions Licensing Act of 2007." Section 2. Purpose. The Legislature finds that, as stated in the Act's section on Purpose and Findings, this Act is required to protect the health, safety and welfare of the people of the Commonwealth. Section 3. Repealer and Re-enactment. 1 CMC §§ 2641-42 and 3 CMC §§ 2201-72 (Public Law 3-30, as amended, the “Medical Practice Act of 1982”) are hereby repealed.
