§ 2787. Regulations Respecting Drugs Manufactured Outside the United States. Without limiting or restricting the authority conferred by any other provisions of this chapter or any part thereof for carrying into effect the purposes and provisions of this chapter or any part thereof, the secretary may make such regulations governing, regulating or prohibiting: (a) The importation into the Commonwealth of any drug or device or class of drugs or devices manufactured outside the United States, or (b) The distribution or sale in the Commonwealth, or the offering, exposing or having in possession for sale in the Commonwealth, of any drug or device or class of drugs or devices manufactured outside the United States, as the secretary deems necessary for the protection of the public in relation to the safety and quality of any such drug or device or class of drugs devices.
