§ 2852. Department of Corrections: Commissioner; Appointment. The Department of Corrections shall be administered by a Commissioner of Corrections who shall be appointed by, and serve at the pleasure of, the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate. The Commissioner is the administrative officer of the Department of Corrections with respect to the administration and enforcement of the provisions of this chapter.
