1 CMC § 2853 — under Department of Corrections.

1 CMC § 2853

TITLE 1: GOVERNMENT

DIVISION 2: EXECUTIVE BRANCH

§ 2853. Department of Corrections: Duties; Divisions. The Department of Corrections shall be responsible for all adult correctional services, civil detention, and adult offender detention throughout the Commonwealth. The Department of Corrections shall consist of three divisions: the Division of Pre-trial Detention, the Division of Civil Detention, and the Division of Corrections. Source: PL 14-25, § 4 (2803), modified. Commission Comment: The actual text of PL 14-25, section 4, subsection 2803 stated in the second sentence above that the department shall consist of “four” divisions but only named three divisions. After reviewing the entire section 4 of PL 14-25, which created the Department of Corrections, the Commission determined this was a manifest clerical or typographical error and made the proper correction pursuant to 1 CMC § 3806(g).
