§ 2862. Duties. The Division shall be responsible for the care, custody and discipline of persons arrested for and charged with offenses against the Commonwealth. That responsibility shall be exercised in coordination with the Division of Adult Corrections within the Department of Corrections and with the Police Division of the Department of Public Safety. Commission Comment: The above section makes reference to a “Division of Adult Corrections.” After reviewing the entire section 4 of PL 14-25, which created the Department of Corrections, only a “Division of Corrections,” codified in 1 CMC § 2881 et seq., was actually created.
